↗Revealing the potential of a forgotten grand hotel
This project looks at the Grand Hotel Elite. Not so grand, not so elite anymore. A former hotel on the outskirts of Bologna, still carrying the identity to become something again. Rather than replacing, it works with what is already there. The 70s grand hotel language remains present through wooden panelling, opal glass lamps and faded red carpets, alongside the original key cabinet and iconic elevator. The spaces lead to the striking breakfast room, where red carpet, ceiling panelling, plastic chairs and woven cane create an almost cinematic setting. A reflection on what already exists. Not to erase, but to recognize and reawaken it.
